Debiasify uncovers and alerts you to the following tactics in real time. All detectors can be individually disabled in the settings.

Logical and Rhetorical Tactics

Ad Hominem:
Attacking a person's character or motives instead of addressing the argument. (Includes: Tu Quoque)
Strawman:
Misrepresenting or oversimplifying the opponent's argument to make it easier to attack.
Appeal to Emotion:
Using language that evokes fear or anger instead of logic. (Includes: Slippery Slope, Appeal to Nature)
False Dilemma:
Presenting only two options even when others exist. (Includes: Black-and-white thinking)
Hasty Generalization:
Drawing a broad conclusion based on insufficient evidence.

Presentation and Sourcing

Framing and Bias:
Presenting information in a way that favors a particular viewpoint. (Includes: False Equivalence, Stereotyping)

  • How it works: The extension sends text directly from your browser to an external AI server of your choice, such as Gemini (Google) or ChatGPT (OpenAI).
  • Privacy: We (Debiasify) do not see, store, or process your data. Everything stays fully under your control.
  • Updates: The free version is time-limited; after three months you need to download the latest version.

Model 2: PRO

  • Easier setup: Unlike the free version, you don't need to register an API key with an LLM provider.
  • Higher privacy: The system periodically downloads analysis results and data. For completed analyses, no information about the visited page is sent anywhere. Everything works similarly to a standard antivirus.
  • Higher speed: You receive analysis results instantly when you open a page, while the free version requires a few seconds of waiting.
  • More comprehensive checks: The free version allows viewing results for a maximum of three selected manipulation techniques (e.g., ad hominem, clickbait, "cherry-picking"). The full version has no such limit.
  • Flexibility: You can request analysis for a broader list of websites.
  • Privacy: Data is processed and immediately deleted after analysis. It is never linked to your identity.
